Call for Napolitano to Resign

Secretary Napolitano Should Resign

Secretary Napolitano should be called to resign after her recent mishandling and further defense of a politically motivated DHS report singling out American veterans as potential US terrorits.

The report further singles out the political beliefs of individual Americans as a potential indicator of terrorist intentions or susceptibilty of recruitment for terrorist activities.

This is completely counter to the ideals of Americanism and should be dealt with quickly and decisively. There should have been no defense at all for such a report especially from such a high office as Secretary Napolitan holds. Her defense of the report shows a complete disregard for American values.

"U.S. Threatens Bankruptcy for GM, Chyrsler" - WSJOnline.com

- SURELY with tung firmly planted in cheek.
- Not more than a day after the a senior administration official told FOX News, "calling in the loans would not be a productive exercise for the American taxpayer since the companies don't have the money [to repay the loans] and it would simply put the companies into uncontrolled Chapter 11."

- When will this lousy bailout ever a productive exercise for the American taxpayer? and if this IS the case [that its not a productive exerices to let them fail] what clout does the administration have in "threatening them with bankruptsy" in the first place?

Answer: None.

A truely free market has got to be at the heart of a capitalist system. The taxpayer funded bailout is NOT working. As was argued by the republicans in congress before new years, "we are merely prolonging the inevitable, at a great expense to the tax payer".

Summary: The bailout of the auto industry was a mistake. It is proving itself to be a mistake as we speak.
